Diego Costa has definitely not just copied and pasted John Terry’s latest Instagram post

It's probably just a coincidence...

With Christmas dinner barely through our digestive systems, getting back in the gym is something that’s probably a good few days (weeks / months?) away for many of us.

Premier League footballers, however, hardly get a minute at this time of year. The festive period is one of the busiest times in the season for them with fixtures coming thick and fast.

If they’re not playing, the chances are they’ll be putting in the hard yards on the training ground, regardless of whether it’s a Bank Holiday or not.

This was certainly the case with Chelsea pair John Terry and Diego Costa on Tuesday. Both of them missed out on their side’s 3-0 victory at home to Bournemouth on Boxing Day, but an Instagram post from Terry revealed that the pair of them were still keeping on top of their fitness levels with a morning training session at Cobham.

‘Training with @diego.costa. Enjoy your day off boys,’ Terry said.

Minutes later, Costa published an Instagram post of his own on his own account. ‘Training with @johnterry.26 Enjoy your day off boys,’ it read…

Now, as most of you will have already sussed, Costa’s message is incredibly similar to that of Terry’s. So similar in fact that anyone would think he’d just copied and pasted Terry’s message (complete with running man emoji), swapping his Instagram handle for that of his teammate, too.

It’s almost as if he’s yet to fully grasp the English language…

Still, at least he had the presence of thought to use a completely different image to that used by Terry. Almost nobody noticed…
