Here’s the advice Ronda Rousey’s coach gave during her 48-second defeat

Says it all.

Ronda Rousey didn’t even last a full minute on her return to UFC action, losing to Amanda Nunes in a one-way 48-second bout.

The reigning women’s bantamweight champion showed why she is the top dog in the division, making short work of her American opponent.

After her victory, Nunes suggested coach Edmond Tarverdyan was to blame for ‘Rowdy’ moving away from her main strength of judo and moving towards a punching-heavy approach.

But she barely got a look-in against Nunes, with Tarverdyan’s advice providing a good guide to how she was playing catch-up from the opening seconds.

MMA Mania have provided the following transcript of his words, which speak for themselves:

‘Head movement! Head movement! Head movement! Head movement! Head movement! Head movement! Head movement! Yes, move! Hands up! Hands up! Catch her! Please! Head Movement, good jab! Move, move! Move, please! Move, move, move, clinch, clinch, clinch! CLINCH! CLINCH! CLINCH! No! NO! NO! NO! NO! Move out!

(pounding sound)

Move, f*ck!’

The defeat was Rousey’s second in her professional MMA career, and her second on the spin after losing her belt to Holly Holm 13 months ago.

Nunes, meanwhile, is now on a five-fight winning streak after defeating Miesha Tate to claim the bantamweight title at UFC 200.
