If you’re famous, reading wikipedia is probably not a great idea.
Especially for your blood pressure. The best case scenario is you find information that is just not wildly incorrect about yourself. So probably best to give it a swerve altogether.
Yet Danny-Boy Hatchard, who plays Lee Carter in EastEnders, seems to have ignored this truism and given in to the temptation to discover what the site had to say about his character.
And what he found has provoked a reaction.
According to one entry, which he screen-shot and the tweeted, he is about to be written out of the soap later this year after killing his on-screen father, played by Danny Dyer.
Now on the face of it, this is not the most outlandish possibility, given that the beleaguered Lee has been seen increasingly struggling with debt and depression and that Mick was also recently seen sharing a kiss with his daughter-in-law, Whitney Dean.
Add to this the fact that Danny Dyer has recently hinted he could leave the soap this year, and it really doesn’t seem that far-fetched.
However after reading the theories, Danny-Boy gave them very short shrift.
Wikipedia makes me laugh. Next it'll say Piers Morgan is a feminist and Donald Trump is black… pic.twitter.com/b4iHDPVggB

He had a similar response to claims about how is character is due to leave the show.
And, apparently I'm off to buy a wife in Thailand… pic.twitter.com/pcscI92O2x

That said, this is EastEnders. Weirder things have happened.
