Liverpool badly need a win against Chelsea at Anfield tonight.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have experienced a disastrous January.
They have won just one game all month, an FA Cup replay against League Two side Plymouth Argyle, and were knocked-out of two cup competitions in less than a week.
Liverpool last won in the league on New Year’s Eve when they beat Manchester City 1-0 at Anfield.
Meanwhile, their opponents for tonight’s game could leave Anfield with a draw and remain on course to win the Premier League title.
Chelsea are eight points clear at the top of the table, and 10 points clear of fourth-placed Liverpool.
The home side are, however, unbeaten in their last four league games against Chelsea.
Klopp’s side also have Sadio Mane available for selection again after returning from international duty with Senegal, but the forward starts on the bench.
