They all count.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Manchester United the lead against St Etienne in comical circumstances during the Europa League last 32 first leg tie at Old Trafford.
The Swedish striker lined-up a free-kick just outside St Etienne’s penalty area, and looked like he was about to smash a powerful strike at goal.
However, Ibrahimovic’s shot was rather tame.
Yet, it still managed to find a way through the French team’s wall and, via a deflection, it continued rolling towards the goal.
Stephane Ruffier, the St Etienne goalkeeper, had already committed himself, and dived past the ball.
He attempted to scramble back across his goal line, but neither he nor a St Etienne defender, could prevent the ball going over the line.
Zlatan celebrated like he’d scored an overhead from the half-way line.
