Baseball may be America’s pastime but it’s not all that popular on British shores, which means you may have missed an amazing piece of skill from Atlanta Braves pitcher Shelby Miller.
The Braves have had a rough time of it this year, but Miller did his best to raise the spirits of Atlanta fans when he faced off against Ender Inciarte of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Poor Inciarte thought he had done enough to get to first base after returning the pitch down the middle of the field behind the pitcher’s mound, only for Miller to reach out and grab the ball on its first bounce without even looking.
Miller then chucks it to his teammate who confirms Inciarte as out. In fairness, he takes it quite well.
