Easter eggs are always a bit of a cop out, aren’t they?
True, it’s nice to have one day a year dedicated to the highly underrated act of stuffing your face with chocolate guilt-free, but there was always the sting of disappointment when you remembered that the eggs were hollow.
Every kid will have had the same thought: why can’t these be solid? Well, at long last, those prayers have been answered.
Behold: the solid chocolate easter egg!
Doesn’t that look spectacular?
Made by the Solid Chocolate Company, these eggs consist of 42 bite-size pieces that slot together to form an egg shape. Standing 14cm tall and weighing 750g, there’s more than enough chocolate to keep the hungriest of Easter bunnies going.
The egg comes in four varieties: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate and caramel chocolate.
But, as there always is, there’s a catch: it’s quite pricey.
Currently the eggs retail for £24.99, which is a lot more than most luxury easter eggs cost. The other downside is they’re nearly all sold out, with only the milk chocolate egg still available.
But if you’ve got a bit of cash to splash and are happy with milk chocolate (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?) then this will be perfect for you.
