It looks like Jose Mourinho’s public frustrations have worked on Roman Abramovich with reports that Chelsea have agreed a £69m fee for Paul Pogba.
According to The Sun, the Blues will now discuss personal terms with the French midfielder, who has been linked with a host of top European clubs this summer.
If the report turns out to be true, it would be a huge coup for Chelsea. Pogba has been widely tipped to be the best player in the world in a few years’ time and, given that he’s still only 22, he has all the attributes to make it right to the top.
Man City, Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked to a player Man United allowed to leave for nothing three years ago.
