Sky forced to apologise as Cesc Fabregas gets sweary on live television

Leave him off!

Say it loud and say it proud Cesc.

Chelsea are league champions for the sixth time in their history after they defeated West Brom 1-0 at The Hawthorns.

Antonio Conte’s men had to wait until the 82d minute to break the dead-lock and, once they did, the party could begin. From 10th place last season to undoubtedly the best side in the Premier League, Chelsea are back in a big way.

Following the game, Sky Sports caught up with Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill.

As David Luiz tried to interrupt, Fabregas shrugged him off to heap praise on matchwinner Michy Batshuayi.

Sprung from the bench to provide the spark after a season in which he only sparkled briefly, Batshuayi swept the ball home to become a Chelsea hero. Fabregas declared:

“This is the beauty of football. A player that doesn’t play a lot and everyone thinks he doesn’t count too much, and he goes and scores the winner for the championship.

“Football is f**king unbelievable!”

That exclamation forced Sky’s Geoff Shreeves to profusely apologise as Fabregas, too late, corrected himself.

Think we can let that slide Geoff!
