We’re all familiar with the infamous Gogglebox—but now Channel 4 has announced they will be bringing Vlogglebox to our screens.
They’re clearly aware of our love of watching people watch TV, but they’ve taken to spicing things up a little bit with this new show. It will focus on people aged 16-24 while they watch viral videos and other online content. The plan is to have the cast view the content the same week it goes up online or becomes popular. No doubt it will have us in stitches.
@Channel4 has commissioned a New Gogglebox spin-off Vlogglebox
will launch on @E4Tweets Sunday 18th June. #Vlogglebox pic.twitter.com/bUmcacRSUZ— Goggleboxfanpage (@goggleboxshow) May 25, 2017
We’ll also see the cast not just in their homes but viewing content throughout different locations while most of the show will be shot by themselves using their smartphones or other video devices.
Ralph Lee, Channel 4’s deputy chief creative officer said,
“It is a great opportunity to explore new ways to engage with your younger audiences and hear what the youth of today really think about the world around them.”
We’re set to have the show on our screens on June 18th. Our new obsession awaits.
