Zlatan Ibrahimovic breaks his silence after Manchester United release with cryptic video

He’s in good spirits.

Given that Manchester United fans are facing the prospect of a world with Zlatan, the immediate focus has switched towards Alvaro Morata as Mourinho desperately searches for someone to fill the void that the 28-goal striker will leave.

Truth be told, given the length of Ibrahimovic’s cruciate knee ligament surgery and his wages, the decision to release the Swedish striker makes sense but Zlatan will always be beloved by the Old Trafford faithful.

Since joining from PSG, the striker was instrumental in United’s Europa League and League Cup successes and it’s clear that he also helped to develop the game of those around him.

Ibrahimovic will be staying in England for a while yet as he continue his rehabilitation at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex, but the attention has already turned to his next club.

On Friday evening, the striker took to Instagram to post this video of himself lying in bed with a pair of football boots on.

It’s clear that the striker doesn’t appear to be too down about the departure, but if you’re wondering about the song that’s playing, it’s ‘Per un pugno di dollari’ by Ennio Morricone.

Yep, that track was featured in the western A Fistfull of Dollars. Perhaps a cryptic clue that Zlatan is headed to the MlS?

Time will tell.
