Class.
Following the horrific fire at Grenfell Tower, various people across Britain have rallied to offer support, help and shelter to those that were badly effected.
Granted, the contributions of a footballer is no different than that of any other member of the public, but given their high profile and ability to rally support/aid/awareness, it’s wonderful to see certain athletes use their celebrity to help those that are in need.
In recent weeks, we’ve seen Raheem Sterling contribute to the support fund.
Elsewhere, not only did Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand donate money, he also stayed in West London to help those in need.

Another footballer that wanted to help his fellow Londoners is Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.
Despite being on international duty for Spain, the right-back was insistent on raising funds for the victims of the Grenfell fire.
Given that Spain reached the final of the U-21 European Championships, Bellerin will donate almost 20k and in an extremely kind act of solidarity, Gary Lineker is matching this donation.
Granted, there will always be people who say ‘sure that amount of money is nothing to them,’ but it’s worth remembering that these men – just like every single person that has helped the Grenfell Tower victims – is under no obligation to donate or help.
They’re doing it out of the goodness in their hearts. That’s incredibly decent and worthy of applause.
If public donations like these can encourage others to do so, we’re 100% on board.
Fair play.
I promised to donate £50 for every minute I played at #U21Euro. I will be donating to @BritishRedcross. Please support in any way you can 🙏 pic.twitter.com/OX6kVTFKY4
