Celtic made light work of Linfield in their Champions League second qualifying round clash at Windsor Park.
Goals from Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic put Brendan Rodgers’ side 2-0 up at half-time and they cruised home in the second half.
The match began at 5pm with a restricted crowd in attendance for the tie. There was some spice in the air but we were surprised, and saddened, to see the following updated from Celtic:
65 – @Leighgriff09 is shown a yellow card by the referee after removing bottles from the pitch at a corner. [0-2]

Footage of the frankly ridiculous incident emerged online soon after and you really have to feel for Griffiths.
He was getting pelted with objects from the stands but was urged to take his corner-kick and get on with the game. As he resumed his position by the corner, a half-full bottle of Buckfast whizzed by his ear.
He quickly moved out of harm’s way and picked up the bottle to show the ref, only to get booked for holding up play.
Absolute joke.

We expect Griffiths, Rodgers and Celtic will be seething about this.
