The undefeated fighter’s followers took his most recent retirement claim with a mountain of salt considering Fury had previously rowed back on a decision to hang up his gloves.
On Wednesday, Fury suggested that he’d called time on his career with the below Instagram post.

Seemingly exasperated with the ongoing delay in his battle to have his boxing licence renewed, the controversial heavyweight thanked his fans in a farewell message that would deny the world the much-discussed all-British showdown with Anthony Joshua.
But updates from Fury’s camp in the days since the above post cast doubt on whether the 28-year-old really had called it a day.
Trainer and uncle, Peter Fury, told talkSPORT: “You never know what tomorrow brings with Tyson,” while cousin, Hughie Fury, has said Tyson will “definitely” box again.
“I think you will see Tyson again, I think he’s just probably in one of his down days,” Hughie Fury added.
Tyson Fury has struggled with depression in the past and his family members had suggested that this week’s retirement announcement likely stemmed from an impulsive decision at a time when he was feeling particularly down.
But Fury rejected those assertions, as he took to social media on Friday morning to claim that he’s “never been happier” and that he is enjoying his retirement.
