This is either the greatest comedy idea we’ve ever heard of, or … well, no, it is the greatest comedy idea we’ve ever heard of.
A month or two back, Tatum put out a tweet that was light on details, but heavy on … intrigue? Suspense? Confusion? All of the above? You tell us…
Y'all aren't ready for what I've been working on with @freeassocla & @a24. Comrade Detective. August 4th on @amazonvideo. #comradedetective pic.twitter.com/DVrVliOSFk

Detectives Gregor Anghel and Iosef Baciu, played by real-life Romanian actors Florin Piersic Jr. and Corneliu Ulici, are on the hunt for someone who has murdered another member of the Romanian police department, but ultimately they get involved in a subversive plot to destroy their country that is fueled by their greatest enemy, (dun dun dun!) Capitalism.
However, while the folks on screen will be total strangers to most, the show will be dubbed by Tatum and Levitt as the partners on the man-hunt, while Parks & Rec star Nick Offerman plays their Romanian police captain, who wants results, damn it!
