Mario Balotelli has had his driving licence confiscated after speeding around a residential area in his Lamborghini.
The Liverpool loanee was caught driving at dangerous speeds in Brescia, Italy. The local speed limit is 50mph, but Balotelli was recorded at 90mph – almost double the maximum.
According to local paper Il Giornale di Brescia, the striker insists he was unaware of the local rules but accepts the charge. His licence has been suspended until the authorities make a final decision on the matter.
Balotelli needs to watch his step, as his temporary contract with AC Milan includes a ‘good behaviour clause‘. Putting others at risk on the roads certainly won’t help matters.
