Ghana could turn to ‘sexy ladies’ to boost football match attendances

This will Ghana no favour...

Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi is a man with a plan.

In his role as President of the Ghanaian Football Association, he has been concerned by the gradually decreasing attendances at domestic league games.

Seemingly, Ghanaian football fans don’t really fancy attending matches at their local stadium, opting instead to watch foreign matches on the television.

But Nyantakyi believes he’s found the answer to his country’s dwindling attendance problem – ‘sexy ladies’.

“Me, I have said this thing over and over again… we must let sexy ladies enter our stadia and the men will readily follow them into the stadium to watch games,” he is reported as saying by Ghana Web.

“Most of these men when they hear that beautiful girls are coming to the stadium today, they’ll all jump and follow them to the stadium…and they are going there purposely to see the ladies.”

But before you all start shaking your heads, hear the man out…

“I remember there was one match when we brought some beautiful girls who were in nice jeans to the stadium, and the girls started walking around the stadium and you should have seen the hysteria it created in the stands.”

Although we can’t fault him for thinking outside the box, we’re not sure it’s the best of ideas – no matter how nice the jeans.
