This is the exact moment Leroy Sané cost one JOE reader over £300,000

Sickener

Leroy Sané made a powerful enemy this weekend.

JOE reader Mick O’Callaghan can be excused for spending the week in bed with the curtains closed, emerging only to collect his Chinese take-away of shame, while silently prodding his Leroy Sané voodoo doll.

Why?

Because he was one kick away from winning €375,000 (just shy of £330,000) on this weekend’s Premier League football.

Having placed the Paddy Power Hotshot Jackpot, Mick got in touch with us on Tuesday morning after Alexandre Lacazette’s double earned Arsenal a 2-0 win over West Brom on Monday Night Football.

Lacazette was one of six players Mick had picked as first goalscorer from this weekend’s round of matches.

He had picked Romelu Lukaku, scorer of the only goal in Manchester United’s win over Southampton; he had picked Tomer Hemed, who got the winner for Brighton against Newcastle; he had picked Alvaro Morata, who scored Chelsea’s opener on his way to a hat-trick against Stoke; he had picked Mohamed Salah, whose brilliant header gave Liverpool the lead over Leicester.

He had even picked the right minute for the first goal to be scored between Manchester City and Crystal Palace.

However…

He had also picked Sergio Aguero, and, had Leroy Sané passed to the Argentinian striker for Manchester City’s opener against Palace in the 44th minute, instead of opening the scoring himself, Mick would have won close to €400,000.

What an absolute sickener.

If we’re looking for positives, at least Mick knew his chances were over well before Lacazette tucked home Arsenal’s opener at the Emirates on Monday night.

Just look at the image though. Aguero’s there on the edge of the six yard box for a tap in…
