When you think of the world’s most prolific goalscorers, you’ll no doubt think of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo and Messi have been locked in some cartoon-esque battle for supremacy for years – with the Real Madrid man scoring 61 in all competitions last season and his arch-nemesis Messi bagging 58.
It’s Neymar who is edging ahead in the goalscoring stakes this season on nine goals, with Ronaldo and Messi on eight and seven respectively.
But there’s one world striker who’s absolutely pasting this fearsome striking triumvirate, according to the Mirror.
That man is…Ahmed Khalil from Al Ahli. Nope, us neither.
But the man who plies his trade in the United Arab Emirates has notched a staggering 13 goals already this term. He’s in white hot form so far.
If he can keep up this phenomenal strike rate and match Ronaldo’s 1.13Â goals per game ratio, he’s going to be getting a lot of goals this year…and probably a few phone calls from Louis van Gaal.
