Who knew Alvaro Arbeloa had such little chill?
The former West Ham right back wasted no time whatsoever in publicising his take on West Ham’s decision to sack Slaven Bilic on Monday morning.
Bilic was sacked by the Hammers after only being able to deliver nine points from eleven Premier League games this season, a tally which left the team in the relegation zone.
A statement read: “The Chairmen and board of West Ham United would like to place on record their thanks and gratitude to Slaven and his team for their services over the past two-and-a-half years, but believe a change is now necessary in order for the Club to move forward positively and in line with their ambition.”

Even before the club could confirm David Moyes as Bilic’s successor, Arbeloa made sure to pour some salt in his former manager’s very fresh wounds.
Arbeloa was signed by Bilic on deadline day in August 2016, moving to the London Stadium after seven years at Real Madrid, but he struggled to force his way into Bilic’s plans throughout the campaign.
The Spanish right back, who previously played for Liverpool, made just four appearances in total for West Ham before retiring in June at the age of 34.
And it’s safe to say he doesn’t look back fondly on his time working under Bilic as his cutting four-word reaction to the Croatian’s sacking smacked of resentment.

“Better late than never,” Arbeloa wrote, in reference to Bilic’s dismissal.
So Arbeloa is a grudge-holder… good to know.
