Paul Gascoigne admits that he fancied Gary Lineker in his Spurs prime

Really?

Paul Gascoigne has been no stranger to the odd headline in his time, and his comments about Gary Lineker should guarantee a few more.

Gazza has named Lineker in an all-time XI of former teammates as part of Sky Sports’ Fantasy Football Club – but when he elaborated on his decision to pick the Match of the Day host, things became a little bizarre.

Quoted in the Daily Mail, Gazza praises the striker’s goal scoring abilities before describing how Lineker’s body was a sight to behold.

“You know what I like about him? His body. What a lovely body,” Gascoigne explained. “Unbelievable, it was so smooth I fancied him. Honestly I really did. I used to see him getting a massage after the game and I thought ‘wow’, he’s beautiful.”

We’re sure Gary’s very flattered.
