WATCH: Romelu Lukaku’s record-breaking goal clinches victory for Belgium

And he's only 24...

Romelu Lukaku is back in the goals.

After scoring 11 in his first ten games for Manchester United, the 24-year-old had been going through something of a drought in recent weeks – failing to find the net in his last seven outings for his club.

He has, however, rediscovered his scoring touch over the international break. After two goals in Belgium’s friendly with Mexico over the weekend, Lukaku scored the only goal of his country’s friendly with Japan on Tuesday night.

Lukaku headed home a back post cross from Nacer Chadli in the 72nd minute.

The goal – his 31st for Belgium – also proved to be quite a significant one, too. At the age of just 24, it moves him clear of Bernard Voorhoof and Paul Vam Himst as his country’s all-time highest goalscorer.

Lukaku will now return to Manchester in time for the return of the Premier League. United, who are currently second but eight points behind Manchester City, face a visit from Newcastle United on Saturday evening, hoping to return to winning ways after a 1-0 defeat at Chelsea in their last game.
