Antonio Conte can be a prickly character.
When the Chelsea boss is in a good mood, he can be a joy in press conferences but one dodgy question can be enough to prompt daggers from the Italian.
One reporter provoked Conte’s ire at a press conference this week, when he addressed the media ahead of the Blues’ final Champions League group game against Atletico Madrid.
Conte insisted that defender David Luiz was not fit enough to be available for the game, which takes place at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, and that prompted questions about whether or not he had fallen out with Luiz.
“David is out. This problem with his knee, trying to solve this situation. He’s out,” Conte said.
Danish centre-half Andreas Christensen has been preferred at the back by Conte recently but the veteran manager did not take kindly to questions about his relationship with Brazil international, Luiz.

It clearly struck a nerve with Conte as he responded with a question of his own:Â Â “Why do you ask this question?
“Two weeks ago, then it was the past, then he played against Qarabag. If you don’t trust what I tell it’s your problem, it’s not my problem.”
