Manchester United were the visitors to Ashton Gate on Wednesday night, taking on Bristol City for a place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Clearly, this was a big occasion for the locals, with highest attendance in nearly four decades recorded at the stadium.
For those not at the game, they had to make do with Sky Sports’ coverage of the game. As was very clear from social media in the game’s early moments , the unusually high camera-angle took some getting used to for many of those tuning in.
Quite like this camera angle, given it’s my lifelong dream to drape sideways off a crane looming above Ashton Gate with one eye shut.

It wasn’t just us, either…
If Bristol get promoted they can get fucked if they think I’m watching any of their games with this camera angle.
