Well, this is exciting!
In a Willy Wonka style twist to this year’s creme egg season, Cadbury’s have released a limited number of white chocolate eggs into circulation. But if you’re hoping to pop out and try the novel taste sensation for yourself, it’s not quite that easy.
There’s only a small number of white choc versions out there – rumour has it less than 400 – and they’re in exactly the same iconic foil wrapper as the original version. So you don’t know where or when you’ll be lucky enough to find one.
However, if you do peel back the foil and find that your creme egg is indeed white instead of brown, do not throw away the wrapper – because it could be worth as much as £2,000. Your rare choccy find will be accompanied with a voucher number – allowing you to claim a cash prize.
All you have to do is call the number printed on the voucher and provide your winning number and a few details, and you could win either £100, £1,000 or £2,000. The full Cadbury’s blurb is below.
Happy hunting!
White chocolate Cadbury Creme Eggs will be fairly and randomly distributed amongst stocks of regular Cadbury Creme eggs under the supervision of PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service. To enter, purchase a Cadbury Creme Egg from any retailer advertising the promotion in-store.
If on opening your egg, you find that you have found one of the white chocolate eggs, then call the phone number (office hours) that will be printed on the voucher that is under the foil on winning unit to find out and claim your prize. Keep this voucher and the packaging, we will need to have it to validate your claim.
When you phone you will be asked to answer a series of verification questions including the unique code on the wrapper, the retailer it was purchased from and the location of purchase. If entrants are unable to pass the verification checks, it will be to the discretion of the Promoter as to whether a prize is issued.
