To be expected.
Philippe Coutinho’s imminent move to Barcelona has caused a frenzy. Liverpool fans’ reactions are a mixed bag. Some are heartbroken to lose their most creative player, while some feel the fee is more than enough to soften the blow.
Given the fact that there are only three points between the sides in the league table, Manchester United fans are unsurprisingly pleased by the transfer.
Not only does it mean their historic rivals are losing a key player, but it makes the £89m that United paid for Paul Pogba in the summer of 2016 look cheap in comparison.
£142m for coutinho makes pogba look cheap af tbh

In particular, it supposedly proves what José Mourinho claimed about Pogba’s fee last year. Remember when the Manchester United manager siad that the world record fee at the time would look cheap in the near future?
If you can’t then don’t worry, Plenty of United fans were quick to remind the world.
CM: Paul Pogba. "I think in a couple of years, you will realise he was cheap," José Mourinho, Feb. 2017.
A few months later, and José has been vindicated. Pogba is the engine, the creator, the heartbeat of this United side. £90m million isn't cheap, but Pogba is well worth it. pic.twitter.com/QkhdCKHoCu
