Download Festival announces a whopping 65 further acts!

Download just got a whole lot bigger.

Adding over 60 of the world’s biggest rock acts to its already monumental bill, one that includes Avenged Sevenfold, Ozzy Osbourne and Guns N’ Roses as headliners, Download Festival has just made its biggest announcement yet.

This includes the likes of Shinedown, You Me At Six, Black Stone Cherry, legendary metal outfits Hatebreed, Cradle Of Filth, plus Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood returns to host The Avalanche Stage with bands such as The Bronx, Less Than Jake and Cancer Bats on the schedule.

The three-day festival that takes place June 8th-June 10th 2018 at what many call “the spiritual home of rock” in Donington Park, Leicestershire.

Pleased to welcome back Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood to again host The Avalanche Stage, it shines a spotlight on everyone from the biggest global acts, to the latest breaking bands. With headliners Neck Deep and The Hives already announced, new additions include The Bronx, the electrifying Cancer Bats, youthful punk rebellion of Milk Teeth, ska-punk favourites Less Than Jake, and Jamie Lenman, plus many more.

“I am absolutely stoked to be hosting The Avalanche Stage again this year at Download,” said Alex Baker, presenter of Fresh Blood on Kerrang! Radio. “Last year the talent on display on the stage, from brand new bands through to legends of the scene that started out life on Fresh Blood, was off the chart….and yet again this year it’s going to be the place to be…Puppy, Milk Teeth, Employed To Serve and Cancer Bats (to name but a few!). I mean come on! Be fair on the other stages!!!”

Also announced today – Volbeat, Jonathan Davis, DragonForce, Inglorious, Monster Truck, TesseracT, The Temperance Movement, Thunder, The Struts, Whiskey Myers, Greta Van Fleet, Bury Tomorrow, Kreator, Dead Cross, Stick To Your Guns, The Maine, blessthefall, Baroness, Stray From The Path, Employed To Serve, The Bottom Line, Emmure, Plini, Myrkur, Boston Manor, Marmozets, Knocked Loose, All Them Witches, Malevolence, Wayward Sons, Puppy, Zeal & Ardor, Miss May I, SHVPES, No Hot Ashes, Gold Key, The Hyena Kill, Sun Arcana, Higher Power, Tigress, Death Blooms, The Faim, Turbonegro, Thrice, Thy Art Is Murder, Corrosion Of Conformity, Rolo Tomassi, Savage Messiah, Myke Gray, Von Hertzen Brothers, Woes, Powerflo, Sleep Token and Koyo.

Download Festival is the home of rock music and takes place on the grounds of Donington Park, which have been associated with rock since the eighties. The festival attracts icons of rock to its main stage, plus some of the best and hottest new acts in the world. AC/DC, KISS, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Linkin Park and many more have all headlined its main stage.
