Arsene Wenger appeared far from impressed with the refereeing performance as his Arsenal side were defeated 2-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Two of his players were dismissed by Mike Dean, who Wenger also felt was wrong to award the free-kick which led to Chelsea’s opening goal.
Back in the Arsenal boss’ native country of France, however, they appeared to take a very different view. TV broadcaster Canal+ Sport were so impressed by Mike Dean’s performance that they awarded him the Man of the Match award.
