‘Haven’t the Gunners been through enough?’
Seemingly, no. They haven’t.
Piers Morgan’s world exclusive interview with President Donald Trump will air in full on ITV this Sunday night.
Viewers of Good Morning Britain have already been shown a few snippets from the interview, which was recorded earlier this week in Davos, with Trump in Switzerland for the annual World Economic Forum.
On Friday afternoon, Morgan shared a picture with his Twitter followers of him presenting the President with an Arsenal shirt. As the tweet explained, this was the moment Morgan invited Trump to replace Arsene Wenger as the club’s manager – ‘because he’d build a strong defensive wall, have an attacking philosophy and want to win big trophies at all costs.’
Morgan signs off by encouraging his followers to tune in for his ‘hilarious response’ on Sunday night.
*WORLD EXCLUSIVE*
The moment I invite President Trump to be Arsenal's new manager – because he'd build a strong defensive wall, have an attacking philosophy & want to win big trophies at all costs.

As you can probably guess, not all Arsenal fans were too keen on the idea of Trump being associated with their football club.
Here’s just a sample of what some of them said in response:
I think we have enough problems at Arsenal dont you?

I’ve got like $700 worth of Arsenal ink done and I’d rather take a cheese grater to it than have Piers Morgan offering Trump the management position.

In a pretty crowded field, Piers Morgan proves again he’s the most embarrassing Arsenal fan ever.

Can we ban Piers Morgan from the Arsenal. He is an embarrassment.

Perhaps this, from the excellent arseblog , best summed up how most Arsenal fans felt about the image…
