It’s getting closer, Arsenal fans.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s move from Borussia Dortmund appears imminent. And yes, it might seem like it’s been that way for weeks now, but the latest development appears to be the strongest hint yet that he’s London-bound.
The Gabonese striker, who has been one of the most prolific goal scorers in world football in recent years, has been spotted heading into Dortmund airport on Tuesday morning. Or at least that’s what the following widely-circulated tweet claims to show.
Here, have a look.

On top of this, Sky Sports News report that Aubameyang left Dortmund airport on a private jet shortly after this footage was taken, bound for London.
Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal is understood to hinge on Dortmund signing a replacement. Reports on Tuesday morning suggested that Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi may be the man to take Aubameyang’s place at the Bundesliga giants. He will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge provided the Premier League champions finalise a deal for Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud.
Presumably, significant progress has been made to allow Aubameyang to head to London.
