With Daniel Craig yet to finish his stint as the current James Bond, there has already been plenty of speculation as to who will be replacing him as 007.
Idris Elba and Tom Hardy may be the two most-mentioned names, but a social media campaign aimed at getting David Beckham to be the next Bond has also recently surfaced.
Speaking to Juju Chang on ABC News, the former England captain appears to rule himself out of the race, despite having dipped his toes into acting waters in a recent advert campaign.
“I saw that the other day and I’ve laughed many times about it,” Beckham admitted when asked about the campaign to make him the next Bond.
“Acting’s not something that I want to go into because I think it’s for people that are specialised in that area and I’m not.”
Perhaps close friend and former teammate Gary Neville will fancy it?
