Alan Pardew had wallet and mobile phone stolen during West Brom’s trip to Spain

This happened before the taxi incident...

Alan Pardew isn’t having the best of times at the minute, bless him.

His West Brom side are currently bottom of the Premier League, with relegation looking likelier with every passing week. With the club’s owner deciding to sack chairman John Williams and chief executive Martin Goodman this week, it’s perhaps no surprise that there are rumours that Pardew may himself be out of work if his team don’t beat Southampton in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Having watched Daniel Sturridge ping his hamstring in the defeat to Chelsea on Monday, the Baggies’ training camp in Spain doesn’t appear to have helped Pards too much, either.

Jonny Evans, Gareth Barry, Jake Livermore and Boaz Myhill have come forward after reports that four West Brom players were questioned by police after allegedly stealing a taxi outside a Barcelona fast-food restaurant.

After Pardew described how “let down” he felt by the incident, it’s emerged this wasn’t the only thing to go wrong for the manager while over in Spain.

The 56-year-old was also robbed on the trip, with The Telegraph reporting how thieves stole his jacket after it was left in a bar. The jacket contained his wallet and mobile phone, neither of which have been returned.

The trip to Spain is likely to now come under close scrutiny – particularly for the taxi incident.
