Michael Owen doesn’t like watching films.
The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker said he finds them “boring.” Jamie Carragher said he and his teammates at Liverpool would wind Owen up about his hatred of movies.
“We knew how much he hated films at Liverpool,” Carragher told ShortList magazine.
“I’d ask him why, he’d say: ‘Well it’s not real is it? Why bother when it’s not real?’ And I was like ‘Oh my God!’.”
Owen also doesn’t like books, and sometimes gives the impression that he’s particularly fond of football either. We can now add opening bags on live television to the list of things the former England forward doesn’t like.
Owen had a brief struggle to open the bag of balls when conducting the draw for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday evening. Owen versus the FA Cup bag was one of the most even contests we’ve seen in the tournament so far this season.
