Rochdale’s players gave it their all on the pitch in their FA Cup fifth round clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The League One side will get the chance to do it all again at Wembley after a dramatic Steve Davies equaliser at the death provided one of the surprises of the weekend.
It looked like Spurs were set to progress to the quarter-finals after Harry Kane converted a penalty to make it 2-1 but, suddenly, the magic of the cup reared its head.
However, for all the incredible work shown on the pitch, Rochdale struggled with the teamsheet they’d put together for their biggest game of the season.
There was not one, not two, but three errors on the sheet which was handed out by the hosts ahead of kick-off.
Moussa Sissoko, not Mousa Dembele, was actually the Spurs No. 17 that started in midfield for the visitors, contrary to what the teamsheet would lead you to believe while there is, in fact, no S at the end of Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, the assistant referee Sian Massey-Ellis was bizarrely given the title “Mr” despite the fact that she is one of the best and most respected officials in the country and most definitely a woman.
Maybe the excitement of the occasion resulted in those responsible for Rochdale’s teamsheet taking their eye off the ball and while they might have gotten away with it on another day, Spurs supporters weren’t prepared to let them live down their mistakes.
This team sheet is a pile of shit @officiallydale. Number 17 is Moussa Sissoko, not Mousa Dembele. And we’re Tottenham Hotspur, not Hotspurs. Ergh. What a mess. 🤢 pic.twitter.com/meusEyzelE

Glaringly missed the slightly more obvious Moussa 'Dembele', who should read Sissoko. Basically, they've had an all-round mare with this

Tottenham Hotspurs FC? Moussa Dembele (read: Sissoko)? Mr(s) S Massey-Ellis? 3 mistakes on one teamsheet. You had one job… https://t.co/bskNVoOiNo
