Sergio Aguero snubs Cristiano Ronaldo when naming his top five players

Simon Lloyd

There’s little doubt Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are going to go down as two of the best to ever kick a ball.

Sergio Aguero, however, appears to only agree with half of that statement.

Incredibly, the Manchester City’s Argentine striker neglected Cristiano Ronaldo when choosing the his greatest five players of all time.

It wouldn’t be that bad if the Real Madrid forward was left out because Aguero didn’t have space to squeeze him into his top five but, when answering the question for UEFA.com, the Manchester City striker named just four players.

Who are your top five players of all time?

Agüero: Messi, the Brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Maradona – that’s only four but for me they’re the ones.

While we wouldn’t disagree with any of those four names being included, surely there’s a very obvious candidate for the fifth spot.
