How many?
We all know Mohamed Salah is having a stormer of a season, which no-one quite expected, but it can be easy to forget just how many times the Egyptian has scored for Liverpool this season.
As his right-footed finish sealed a win for Liverpool over Crystal Palace in Saturday’s early kick off, he brought his goal tally in all competitions for the season up to 37. THIRTY-SEVEN goals. It’s still March, for goodness’ sake.
In the post-match interview, he was reminded of this stat, which clearly shocked even Salah himself.
Even Salah can’t quite believe how many goals he’s scored this season!!! #legend pic.twitter.com/3yyKvncE3u

It’s telling that Salah had lost count of how many goals he was on.
His winning goal against Palace came in controversial circumstances, after Liverpool were fortunate not to lose Sadio Mané when the winger handled the ball while on a yellow card.
The referee penalised Mané for handling the ball, awarding Palace a free kick but did not dish out another yellow card.
Liverpool won’t care though – this game was another three points picked up, putting them second, although Man United will overtake them again if they beat Swansea this afternoon.
Liverpool’s victory was only tainted by Adam Lallana’s injury. The midfielder came on from the bench for Gini Wijnaldum but had to be substituted two minutes later after a clash with Luka Milivojević, although it did not look too serious.
