Police charge sheet shows extent of Ant McPartlin’s drinking before arrest

HeĀ could face up to six months in prison.

Police documents have revealed exactly how much alcohol TV presenter Ant McPartlin had consumed before being arrested for drink driving last month.

Ant was involved in a collision with two other cars while driving his Mini, one of which was carrying a four-year-old girl. The incident happened on the 18 March in Richmond, South West London.

When he was breathalysed by police he was found to haveĀ 75mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath ā€“ the legal limit is 35 mcg.

His charges allege the star: ā€œDrove a motor vehicle, namely a Black Miniā€¦after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.ā€

The 42-year-old was due in court last week, however theĀ case was put back until later this month. He is currently in rehab, which he entered for the second time, following the incident.

The maximum sentence he could face is six months in jail, alongside an unlimited fine and ban from driving.
