He won Man of the Match
West Ham United snatched a point at Stamford Bridge this afternoon as the Hammers drew 1-1 with Chelsea in a fixture that could have gone either way. Cesar Azpilicueta had given Chelsea the lead in he first half, attacking a loose ball in the six yard box with the help of some awful defending on West Ham’s part. But Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández rescued a point for West Ham, slotting low shot past Thibaut Courtois and several Chelsea bodies with ease.
But Man of the Match was given to West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart, who has not been without his critics this season. A relatively unsuccessful loan spell at Torino last season did his chances of regaining his place at Man City no favours and saw him loaned out to West Ham, where he lost his place to Adrián. But Hart was back in the team today, and put on a display he could be proud of.
It got a lot of people talking. With a World Cup just around the corner, should we go with the tried and tested goalkeeper, if he can keep this form up?
Joe Hart still got it 👏👏
