Britain’s smallest bodybuilder is just 4ft 10in tall…and he’s in amazing shape

Wow...

Ben Kenyon

If anything shows the power of bodybuilding, it’s this.

Choon Tan is just 4ft 10in tall. He was born with a genetic defect that affected his bone development and stunted his growth.

The 22-year-old student was bullied and teased for it. But one day he had had enough and started weight training to stick on some muscle and build his self confidence.

Now he’s in shape that most of us could only dream of. He trains five times a week, diets hard and can deadlift more than three times his bodyweight.

Let that sink in, he can deadlift more than three times his body weight.

He competes on stage in the UKBFF Men’s Physique category.

“My main ambition now is to inspire people to believe in themselves. And to know that they too can change their lives, no matter what the situation,” he told Metro.

“I didn’t feel that I was as good or the same as everyone else. I got bullied and tormented because of it.

“Those several years were undoubtedly the worst of my life, but it is what led me to an incredible eye-opening journey.”

Fair play to him, he’s managed to turn it into a positive and we could all learn a lot from his outlook on life.
