Thursday night’s Europa League semi-final at The Emirates was a pretty big deal.
Not only was it the final European home game Arsene Wenger would oversee as Arsenal manager, but the club’s ambitions of returning to the Champions League next season were also resting on it.
But never mind all that shit.
Let’s talk about what *really* matters to football fans: the absolute state of Diego Simeone’s hair.
The former Argentina international, one of about 60 names in the frame to replace Wenger as Arsenal manager, grabbed the attention of many watching the early stages of the game thanks to the appearance of his hair.
It’s a straight red and Simeone is sent to the stands for not having any product on his hair. Totally understandable in the circumstances. pic.twitter.com/SXZ6wWckoU

Genuinely laughed out loud when I saw Simeone’s hair.

Sadly, it was *just* the early stages. Following an early sending off for Šime Vrsaljko, Simeone failed to control his anger when the referee decided not to book an Arsenal player for a mistimed challenge. He, along with his hairdo, was promptly sent to the stands.
