Liverpool supporters anxiously await an update on Sadio Mane’s apparent injury.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to address the subject at his Friday press conference, a day after Mane was pictured walking into Liverpool’s Spire Hospital.
Reports claim that the Senegal forward was walking with a slight limp, forcing supporters to sweat over Mane’s fitness ahead of next week’s Champions League semi-final second leg with Roma.
A Mane goal was bookended by braces from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino on Tuesday, when the Reds claimed a 5-2 first-leg victory over the Serie A side.

The Times’ Paul Joyce reports that a thigh injury will likely rule Mane out of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Stoke City and while early signs indicate that he should be back in time for the return leg in Rome, it represents an added concern for Klopp & Co.
Mane has played a crucial role for Liverpool this season and his 18 goals in all competitions is his greatest tally since moving to England in 2014.
His tireless work-rate epitomises the kind of energy that Klopp expects of his players and while Salah has understandably taken the lion’s share of plaudits this season, it’s fair to say that the Reds often struggle to operate to their potential when Mane is out of the side.
