David Beckham backs Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United return

After reaching 500 career goals and breaking Raul’s Real Madrid scoring record, some have suggested Cristiano Ronaldo’s days in Spain may be coming to an end.

Rumours of a bid from cash-laden Paris Saint-Germain continue to circulate with their Qatari owners said to be undaunted at the thought of paying an astronomical fee for the 30-year-old.

As per usual, Manchester United head a list of Ronaldo’s other potential suitors, and another former United number seven has backed Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford.

David Beckham, who also represented Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, has told talkSPORT that he’d love to the Portuguese international back in the red of United.

“I’d like to see him come back, as a Man United fan. That would be great because he was so great at Man United,” Beckham said.

“But he is at Real Madrid now, he is very comfortable in his life there, the fans obviously love him there, and he looks a real Real Madrid player now.”

We’re sure Beckham is not the only Manchester United supporter who would like to see this move happen.
