His death has been confirmed in a Facebook post
Richard Swift, the touring bass guitarist of the Black Keys and The Shins has died at the age of 41, it has been confirmed.
The news was announced via a Facebook post, it read: “And all the angels sing ‘Que Sera Sera’ Richard Ochoa Swift March 16, 1977 – July 3, 2018.”
The musician was admitted to hospital last month with a life threatening condition that has yet to be disclosed.
The Black Keys singer Dan Auerbach responded to the news by sharing a picture of him with Swift. Captioning the image: “Today the world lost one of the most talented musicians I know. He’s now with his Mom and Sister.”
