We're not crying, you're crying

It’s happened. It’s actually happened

Having seemingly hinted at leaving Real Madrid every single transfer window for the last nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo has left Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old completed his move to Juventus on Tuesday, bringing to a close a record-shattering spell at the Bernabeu.

As Real begin the task of trying to find at least one player to help fill the void left behind, plenty of his now former teammates at in Madrid have taken the opportunity to thank him and wish him well in his next chapter.

Sergio Ramos, one of few players at Real before Ronaldo arrived,  is amongst them. With news of the move confirmed, the Spain defender posted a message to his Instagram page in which he paid tribute to the former Manchester United forward’s time as his teammate.

‘Cristiano, your goals, your numbers and everything we’ve won together speak for themselves,’ it reads.

‘You’ve earned a special place in the history of RealMadrid. As Madridistas we’ll remember you always. It’s been a pleasure to play alongside you, bicho. Big hug and good luck.’

Nawwwww.

Ronaldo has been given the seven shirt at Juve, the same number he has worn for the majority of his time in Spain.

Despite Real issuing two separate statements denying they had made offers for Paris Saint-Germain stars Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, reports continue to link the club with moves for the pair. Eden Hazard is also thought to be a possible target, though reports this week have suggested he is a fall-back plan should a move for Neymar fail to materialise.
