He joined from Real Madrid this week
After nine years at Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo completed his €100m transfer to Juventus this week in a move that rocked the world. This time it wasn’t a case of just demanding more money from Real Madrid – they were willing to let him go and he was actually willing to leave.
The Portuguese forward will start a new chapter in his career at Juve, hoping to bring the illusive Champions League trophy, that he has already won five times, to Turin.
His official presentation, at which he will be unveiled as a Juventus player to the fans, will take place tomorrow, the day after the World Cup final.
The Bianconeri’s new number 7 has already caused a huge spike in shirt sales, thought to have recouped half his transfer fee within 24 hours of the official announcement – although Adidas will see most of that money.
It is not yet known how exactly the presentation will proceed, but one woud expect to see Juventus’ Allianz Stadium filled out by fans who want to see their new superstar in the flesh.
