He didn’t make it into the Brazil squad
Paris Saint-Germain are on the hunt for a new left-back after Layvin Kurzawa and Yuri Berchiche failed to live up to the standards set by the Ligue 1 champions.
Their prime target, Alex Sandro, has now reportedly agreed personal teams with the French club, according to Calciomercato.
Juventus are reportedly demanding €50m for the Brazilian full-back, who failed to make it into the World Cup squad despite his evident quality.
PSG have continually fallen short in the Champions League despite their domestic dominance, but signing a world class defender such as Sandro could increase their chances of going far in the world’s most prestigious club competition.
Should he leave for PSG, Juve are hoping to bring in Sandro’s compatriot Marcelo from Real Madrid as a replacement.
Marcelo would reunite with his teammate of nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo, if he were to agree to the deal. The Madrid left-back is 30 now, and while they have benefited from his best form, Madrid may be willing to sell before he starts to depreciate in value.
