Flavoured gins have become all the rage as of late
It’s fair to say that gin is the hipster’s choice when it comes to spirits. Sure, laying back with a bottle of bourbon after a day at work can make you feel like Don Draper, but in terms of the experimentation that goes on with gin there’s no real beating it.
You are no longer limited to iconic brands like Bombay Sapphire and Gordon’s, now you can buy chilli gins, honey gins, chocolate gins, pineapple gins, rhubarb gins, cherry gins – the list is seemingly endless.
But you don’t just have to buy it flavoured, you can also buy your own liqueurs to add to the gin to give it that extra shabang. And, who else but Aldi, to step up with a new spirit perfect for mixing with gin and tonic water, or for making yourself a cocktail.
The Infusionist Passionfruit Gin Liqueur comes in a 50cl bottle and contains all the classic flavours of a pornstar martini.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “Bursting with the on-trend flavour of passionfruit, the Infusionist Passion Fruit Gin Liqueur boasts delicious citrus notes, giving a full flavour and sharpness of acidity.
“The perfect combination with a classic London Dry Gin or served in a glass of Prosecco or Cava for a fruity tipple.”
Bottles of it will be on sale in UK stores from 26 July.
