Former Dutch footballer claims Memphis Depay is not popular at Old Trafford

Patience is a virtue, but it seems supplies are running out quickly for one of Manchester United’s main summer signings.

Memphis Depay has struggled in the Premier League, with his latest woe coming when he was subbed off at half-time in the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal.

The Dutchman has profited in the Champions League, however, looking more assured in Europe than he has done domestically.

The young winger was always going to take time to adjust to life in England but it seems one former Netherlands international believes the player is beginning to annoy his teammates just months into his new career at Old Trafford.

Youri Mulder has heard that some of the former PSV man’s teammates are getting sick of his attiutide in the Premier League.

“He played one good match for United, against Club Brugge [in the Champions League]. In the Premier League he suffers, yet his attitude suggests that he is a big star. It seems that people at Manchester United are starting to get fed up with this,” Mulder said.

With Depay also part of the Dutch team that failed to qualify for Euro 2016, things are not going well at all for the 21-year-old.
