Just when you thought sponsorship in football had outdone itself, Brentford go and jump the shark
Football is full of peculiar sponsorship deals these days. Liverpool recently signed a deal with Levi’s to become the club’s Official Denim Partner, while Manchester United have in the past secured deals with a new Official Global Lubricant Partner and Fuel Retail Partner, Official Paint Partner and Official Global Mattress and Pillow Partner.

Yes, the Championship side have signed a commercial partnership with G Saville Son Funeral Directors, who have the club’s Official Funeral Partners.
Using the tagline “Brentford ‘Til I Die”, G Saville Son Funeral Directors will reportedly work with “coffin suppliers to offer [their] Brentford-supporting clients a bespoke coffin in club colours and sporting the Brentford FC badge”.
So, yeah, you can now be buried in the team’s colours. Very good news, and definitely depressing or morbid in any way whatsoever.
