Supporters helped with the design

Everton have launched their third and final kit of the 2018/19 season.

The Toffees will sport the new strip, the design of which was assisted by supporters, when they travel to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Kit manufacturer Umbro unveiled the kit on Friday, confirming reports that it would feature a nod towards Prince Rupert’s Tower.

Umbro Managing Director Anthony Little said: “Involving fans in the kit design process has been an exciting and informative journey for us all here at Umbro. We’re really proud of the jerseys that this whole process has delivered.”

New signing Richarlison joined Gylfi Sigurdsson and defenders Michael Keane and Leighton Baines to model the new white shirt, which features the Tower on the crest as well as in a more abstract form in blue across the chest.

“I’m a big fan of the third kit. It reminds me of some of the great Umbro kits from when I was a kid,” Baines said.

“I think it’s great that the fans were involved in designing it too, they’ve contributed to all three of our kits this season and that’s brilliant because they wear it too and they should feel proud of it.

“I’m looking forward to wearing it on Saturday and hopefully we can get our first away win of the season in it.”
